  Olivenhain
  Olivenhain is a charming and country environment within the city of Encinitas, known for its rural flavor, acreage, horse properties and strong sense of history. Olivenhain is proud of its extensive trail system and its dark skies policy, assuring all within its boundaries of gorgeous night views of star-filled heavens.
     
  Encinitas
  Situated between the San Elijo Lagoon to the south and the Batiquitos Lagoon to the north, the city of Encinitas, founded more than 100 years ago, is now made up of five communities that take pride in their own distinct personalities. They are: Cardiff-By-The Sea, Leucadia, Olivenhain, Old Encinitas and New Encinitas.
     
  Leucadia
  In Greek, “Leucadia" means a sheltered place and this lovely coastal community truly lives up to its name. This tranquil area is famous for its giant Eucalyptus trees that line its main thoroughfare on Coast Highway and its wonderful, laid back atmosphere. Leucadia is located on Highway 101 on the north San Diego County coast. Heading south out of Carlsbad, it is the first beach community you'll encounter.
     
  Cardiff-by-the-Sea
  Cardiff-by-the-Sea is a charming beach community within the city of Encinitas and bordering Solana Beach. Like so many other North County areas, locals prefer the quiet, easy living here and support efforts to keep it that way. Just 25 miles north of the bustling city of San Diego, it seems a world away. Many residents here live on hillsides, enjoying gorgeous ocean views.
     
  Rancho Santa Fe
  Selected by Forbes as the best place to live in America, Rancho Santa Fe provides country living at its best with large residential parcels and the Covenant to regulate development. The community features a championship caliber golf course and tennis courts, as well as a Riding Club blessed with miles of well maintained, dedicated trails.
     
  South Carlsbad
  South Carlsbad offers a family-friendly environment with a beautiful and popular state beach offering excellent swimming, surfing, diving and fishing. The large bluff-top campground is especially popular in summer. The area is known for its excellent schools, sports programs and recreational facilities.
     
  Carlsbad

  Solana Beach
  Solana Beach is a warm and friendly city, tucked between Encinitas and Del Mar in San Diego’s North County. With the Pacific Ocean as its western border, it offers its own popular and easily accessible beach. Boutiques, casual and elegant restaurants, surf shops and service businesses dot the Pacific Coast Highway.
